Murray Perahia, one of the greatest pianists in the world, in invited by the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra to perform at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus. The programme includes Beethoven’s fascinating Piano Concerto No. 4, Dimitri Mitropoulos’ Cretan Feast, orchestrated by Nikos Skalkottas, and Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade, inspired by One Thousand and One Nights.
